Board Members

Chapter President:

Shaunna LeMasters, licensed massage therapist since 2012 and the Emerald Coast FSMTA member since 2014. She graduated from Pensacola School of Massage Therapy on the Presidents List. Her continued education has been through free classes offered with in the association, and suggested courses from her association to include Orthopedic Massage, Personal Training, and Aromatherapy. An independent therapist, Shaunna has been fortunate enough to work in several locations including her own office in the East Hill neighborhood of Pensacola. Previous history, an active member of the massage team with EXOS, and a chiropractors office.  Shaunna began her career after leaving a full time job as a Store Manager of retail pharmacy.  "It was the best decision of my life. Having the marketing background, several months of saved income, and the motivation to discover a more relaxed way of life, has opened the doors of many opportunities for me."   FSMTA is an association that has assisted Shaunna in her networking skills, learning the good and bad views of having a career as a massage therapist in Florida.  Being a part of the board is a volunteered position that comes naturally to Shaunna, but also requires her to attend all business meetings and events.  "The more we can gather and work together to achieve a common goal the bigger and better our careers will be in the future. I suggest all therapists join your local association.  Get to know other therapists in our field.  Have an open mind and learn from each other.  Massage therapy is not a competition, but created for us to help others." ~ MA70958

Chapter 1st Vice President

Mikalyn Busbee

Mikalyn has been a licensed therapist since 2015, and an FSMTA member since 2017. She entered into massage therapy after working in emergency communications, sales, and marketing. She educated at Pensacola School of Massage Therapy, and hit the ground working, holding positions at several local Spas before settling into her private practice in Gulf Breeze. She is also an active member of the EXOS massage therapy team.

"Making the move from a cubicle to massage therapy was the best employment decision I have ever made and becoming a member of the FSMTA has made the difference between having a job and having a career. The support, encouragement, guidance, and education that I have gleaned from my FSMTA membership has been monumental in establishing my private practice and growing as a therapist and a entrepreneur. I am so excited to take the next step in my career, and in my service to the local professional massage community through service as the chapter VP."
